’twas a very fun weekend. I headed up to Rochester to visit Diana and Alex and also meet Diana’s new roommate, Faith. It was good to see Diana again, even if we didn’t get a ton of time to catch up since we were both running around. Alex is growing up so fast (I’ll post some pics soon) and the fact that he is starting to talk is cool. And, I’m really glad that I got to meet Faith – she’s awesome and a lot of fun to hang out with. (She also gets bonus points for keeping the cardboard fort up in Di’s basement till I got there to see it again)

I made it back out to Vertex for the first time in a couple of years. It’s amazing how little has changed – I dropped right in and felt at home, and it was crazy how many people I recognized from when I went before.

A major highlight of the trip is that Faith and I went skydiving. She had never been, but was dieing to try it out; that was all the reason I needed to go again It was another wonderful rush, and this time I got to pull the ripcord and get a bit more control over the jump itself. The downside is that I’m now itching to start doing it more, but that requires time & money, both of which are always hard to come by.

With all the fun, there was quite a bit of running around and a couple of stressful situations. Looking at my calendar, it looks like I’ll be running around and staying stressed for the next few weeks (I might get to go overseas soon though – more info as soon as I have it). The week of June 10th, I have some vacation planned while my parents and grandmother are in Colorado. I have a feeling that this is going to be very much needed (could use it now actually). Oh well, have to work hard to play hard I suppose

Thanks to Di and Faith for a wonderful weekend. I hope to make it back out soon – or better yet, you could take me up on the offer to come out to Colorado :-p
