Why WordPress Rocks
Just to give you an idea of how much comment spam I truly get, here are the current stats from my spam control plug-in:
- Deleted Spam: 1512
- Moderated Spam: 11
- Approved Comments: 10
Of the 1512 deleted, all were true spam. Of the 11 moderated, all were spam. Of the 10 that got accepted, I think something like 7-8 were spam and 2 were true. As you can see, a few got through, but over the last few days I have had over 500 spam comments deleted and none get through, so I think the auto tuning has helped make it even better. All without needing to restrict who can post or adding too many extra steps for real commenters.
I’m just hoping it stays this way
