I have added a new category to my site: Blog Development. This will be a place for me to put information about some scripts/plugins/hacks/tools related to blogging. I am doing this for a couple of reasons; becuase I want to make some additions to my site, and also because I am starting an Independant Study under Professor Oyzon to gain the credits I need towards my degree.
I have already done a little work to add a mood menu that works with the LiveJournal hack for WordPress. I will soon post the code for that, as well as continue along with some other ideas. Some ideas of what I hope to accomplish (no promises here):
- Continued work on LiveJournal functionality.
- The ability to import posts from a PHP-Nuke page.
- A look into the ability to make some/all of my code work with Express Engine
- Redirection scripts to allow backward compatability of archives
- Anything else I deem to be a fun idea or a valuable tool.
I’m open to any suggestions (please post them here so I can keep track of them easily), and I hope that my work is a benifit to others as well.
I’ll keep you updated on my progress, and we’ll see how things go from here. My first job is to write up the Independent Study proposal – that is my goal for tomorrow.
