Actually posting…
I know, it’s been a while… Life has been rather busy… Since I’ve lasted posted I have finished another quarter, gone through graduation, accepted a job at Erie Insurance and moved back to Erie. I also wanted to get my site converted away from Moveable Type (since they decided to start charging), and have only recently found the time to do that…
So yes, bekit.net is now running on a new system, WordPress. Moving all of my posts over was rather easy, it just took a while to convert all of my stylesheets so that the site would look the same. I also wanted to be able to have the LiveJournal cross posting working before I started useing it. This option was available, but then I decided to be greedy and want the option to select LJ moods in the WordPress interface. I just finished hacking the code to make that work (yay me!) so I decided to post
. I still want to clean it up a bit (i would like the drop down list of moods to be sorted), and then I will post the hack for all to see (in case anyone actually cares). I must admit, I’m liking WordPress though. It is much more fluid in some ways, and the fact that it is purely open source and coded in PHP makes it a little easier to use.
So, as for my actual life. Casey and I are still doing very well.
Unfortunatly, we are stuck with a long distance relationship at the moment though
I know from the past how much distance can suck, but I’m hoping we will be able to work through it till we can find a better solution. I’m rather happy, and I don’t want to loose that to the fact that I need to be here for my job.
But that is all for now. It’s past 5am, so I should probably get to bed. Good night / Good morning all, and I’ll try to actually get back in the habit of keeping this current…

In relationships, you really have to be prepared sometimes and you have to anticipate certain things that can possibly happen like moving to another place and leaving your sweet girl behind. While your relationship is a priority, you have other obligations, too, like work and to others, maybe education. Anyway, it will be good also to inform your partner earlier about the move and you can also explain to her your reasons. That will help. Long distance relationship can be hard. You have to double your effort. But the relationship is worth all the sacrifices too.
